I. Allegro

Sparrow begins her discussion by addressing fundamentals that are necessary to achieve proficiency with this movement. She presents her remarkable re-ordering strategy to expedite practicing, organizing themes, filler material, and a "naughty list" for the most difficult passages.

II. Andante

The second movement is simpler, but it requires us to perfectly capture the tone, vibrato, and legato. Sparrow shares how we can manifest this technically, how to strategize breathing, and much more.

III. Allegro scherzando

The coveted test piece for musicians at the Paris Conservatory for many years, the formidable third movement continues to be used worldwide as a test of one's capabilities. Sparrow recommends fingerings, discusses dynamics, and provides a blueprint for practicing.
