Tim Hagen talks about the French salon style and walks us through what to prioritize as we learn and interpret this work.

I. Allegretto

Tim Hagen walks us through the Allegretto, offering a sneak peek behind what the composer implies melodically and rhythmically. He also offers practice strategies as well as alternate fingering options.

II. Idylle

Tim Hagen guides us through the beautiful and pastoral Idylle. He gives us practice strategies through difficult intervals and smooth legato playing.

III. Valse

Tim Hagen guides us through this tricky movement, the Valse. He offers strategies and interpretive suggestions that make this movement so much easier and fun to play!
